Memorable events in Vienna's most contemporary concert hall
Situated at the geographical heart of Vienna, the MuTh is popular for its central location and its perfect acoustics. The concert hall opened its doors in 2012 with a joint performance by the world-famous Vienna Philharmonic and Vienna Boys' Choir, and since then has welcomed audiences to as many as 300 events per year. In addition to chamber music, orchestral evenings and live performances, the events room is particularly suitable for hybrid events. The state-of-the-art concert and theatre equipment not only makes for perfect sound quality but is also ideal for live streaming events.
Stylish setting, stunning sound quality: the MuTh concert hall
The MuTh, which opened in 2012, is located beside Vienna's baroque Augarten and is easily accessible via the Taborstrasse station on the U2 line. People love the modern architecture of the exterior and the warm atmosphere and perfect acoustics of the interior. The size and fittings of the stage in the concert hall can be varied so you can hire a stage measuring either 12 x 9 or 12 x 12.5 metres. The stage is licensed to accommodate 80 people with banquet seating or up to 100 people with stand-up cocktail tables. The hall has tiered seating and a gallery with comfortable theatre seats, offering an uninterrupted view of the stage and first-class acoustics. In an area of 3000 square metres, the hall accommodates up to 413 people, with barrier-free access and four wheelchair spaces. In addition to this modern concert hall and theatre, you can also hire other smaller rooms for your workshops and meetings, as well as the outdoor area in front of the MuTh. That includes the Studio, which can accommodate up to 60 people, with seating arranged to meet your needs, and is particularly suitable for seminars, receptions and online meetings.

All-singing, all-dancing technology
Naturally, the big concert and theatre stage comes with the latest technology. In addition to the stage and the podium, you will be provided with a flipchart, moderator's tool kit, microphones and use of Wi-Fi. The MuTh also boasts a vast array of stage technology, with a flexible podium system, cross-beams, acoustic sails and three different screens with projectors. The sound system uses the latest technology and incorporates surround sound, a monitoring system and a mixing console. The venue even offers live streaming, including three cameras and live editing. There are yet more attractive features outside the building: the leafy Augarten promenade in front of the concert hall can be used for outdoor receptions. By adding stand-up tables and a marquee, you can entertain your guests in the green heart of the city of Vienna. If you wish to serve refreshments to your participants indoors, the Café Maximilian at the MuTh will open at your request and take on the catering for up to 450 people. The café itself seats up to 70. Naturally, you are also free to organise your own catering.
Immerse yourself in the culture of Vienna from the green city centre
One of the plus points of the MuTh is its central location – it is situated in the geographical heart of Vienna and can be easily reached via the Taborstrasse station on the U2 underground line. The venue is surrounded on all sides by the baroque Augarten, the magnificent gardens right in the city centre. In addition to the MuTh, with its varied programme of events, this popular park is also home to several other cultural institutions. The Augarten Porcelain Museum, the Palais where the Vienna Boys Choir is based and the Austrian Film Archive are all just a short distance away, providing relaxation and distraction after a series of intensive meetings. Also in Vienna's Second District is the nearby Carmelite Quarter, a multicultural hotspot bursting with restaurants, market stalls and shops. Just four minutes' walk away, the Vienna Crime Museum will appeal to thrill-seekers, while in summer guests can watch showings of a selection of films at the "Kino wie noch nie" open-air cinema.
