Ochensberger Garden Hotel

Natural and stylish event venue in rural Styria

If you want to hold your conference in a rural location, the Ochensberger Garden Hotel is the perfect location. Situated in the idyllic Styrian village of St. Ruprecht, just 25 km from Graz, this conference venue is like heaven on earth, in the heart of the countryside. The 4-star hotel has plenty of open space, and the grounds are made exclusively available to conference visitors. Here the traditional meets the modern, while sustainability and environmental awareness are high priorities. The fact that the hotel has been awarded the "Golden Flipchart" no fewer than eight times by the "Tagen in Österreich" conference organisation demonstrates the calibre of the hotel as a conference venue. What's more, there's ample opportunity to relax between or after conference sessions in the spacious spa, which extends over 1000 square metres.

Seminar rooms with room to breathe

The Ochensberger Garden Hotel has a total of four perfectly equipped rooms available for corporate and team-building events of all kinds, seminars, workshops, Christmas parties, incentives and "green meetings". The biggest meeting room, which measures 146 square metres and can accommodate 130 people, can be connected to two more rooms for banquets, extending the area to 240 square metres, with room for up to 250 guests. The smaller rooms are ideal for meetings of a Board of Directors or senior management team. All the seminar rooms have French windows which not only means that they are flooded with light, but, more importantly, that they have direct access to the extensive gardens. The grounds are among the highlights of the wide-ranging conference amenities at the Ochensberger Garden Hotel. You can put stand-up tables in the stone-paved courtyard for your coffee breaks between sessions, or even use the outdoor furniture in the conference garden to hold sessions outside. Outdoor events can also be held in the wildlife-friendly meadow orchard, which covers an area of 4,500 square metres, while the "Power Garden" is the perfect place to recharge your batteries.

Leading the way on technology and fine food

The Ochensberger Garden Hotel is moving with the times. As soon as you arrive in the 130-space car park next to the hotel, you will find a charging station for electric or hybrid vehicles and two Tesla wall connectors. Not only are the traditional presentation resources such as flipcharts and pinboards available for your speakers, but also a projector with wireless laptop connection, a sound system, a movable stage with a microphone and speaker's lectern and two Weframe One devices for organising hybrid events. Delicious coffee breaks will provide a great opportunity to recuperate. To accompany the Italian speciality coffees, organic tea from Sonnentor and local fruit juices, the hotel serves real "brain food": sweet and savoury snacks made from entirely natural ingredients. For longer conferences, accommodation is available in 50 double and 11 single rooms, together with a lavish breakfast to get the day off to a good start. A three-course lunch and/or a four-course evening meal will round off your successful corporate event perfectly. Incidentally, the chefs at the Ochensberger Garden Hotel use seasonal and regional ingredients and have been awarded two Falstaff forks!

In the heart of the garden of Austria

The Ochensberger Garden Hotel is in picturesque eastern Styria. In this gently rolling countryside, energetic visitors can go on refreshing bike rides or hikes among the vineyards and alpine pastures – the hotel even hires out bikes. The pretty scenery provides the perfect backdrop for outings, visits, wine tastings and guided tours. Team-building events such as ice stock shooting, a guided walk through the remote and romantic Raabklamm ravine, an evening in a wine tavern or a visit to the pumpkin seed oil production works can all be organised not far from the hotel.
