They can accommodate a total of 1300 people in a historic ambience. You are free to choose your own catering and table decoration company, so your event at the Austrian National Library will be everything you could wish for. If required, an experienced technical partner can provide professional equipment at the venue.

Historic rooms and innovative ideas

Whether you are organising a conference, seminar or evening event, at the Austrian National Library you can realise your event ideas in an atmosphere of timeless elegance. Are you planning a workshop with several hundred participants, preferably with a gala dinner to follow? The Camineum can accommodate from 63 to 480 people, depending on the seating arrangement. It can be configured with U-shaped, theatre-style, banquet-style or classroom-style seating, or stand-up cocktail tables. Other rooms such as the Sala Terrena and the Atrium also present different seating options. The most exciting room of all in which to give free rein to your ideas is the State Hall: a baroque symphony of the arts dating from the 18th century, formerly the private library of Prince Eugene of Savoy. Nowadays the arabesque room not only houses 200,000 books but also hosts some very memorable evening events. Would you also like to keep up the literary inspiration even during dinner? In the Augustinian Reading Room, formerly a monastic library and one of the most exquisite rooms in Vienna, you can have a meal served directly to the antique reading desks, surrounded by books and the frescoes of the Austrian rococo artist Johann Baptist Wenzel Bergl.

Pomp and splendour – bespoke grandeur at the Austrian National Library
