Austria Center Vienna Unveils Latest Upgrades: Higher Capacity and Enhanced Look and Feel for Hall N
Even more space, contemporary architecture, better acoustics: Hall N on Level 1 has been completely transformed over the past few months
When the halls at ACV were built, they came with their own interpreting booths, in line with the venue’s primary function as a meeting location for the neighbouring UN. As English has long since established itself as the lingua franca at congresses, those facilities are no longer required and fewer and fewer customers are ordering interpreting services. As a result, the decision was taken to remove the cabins and dark wooden panelling to free up additional space and give the hall a more contemporary feel. The capacity of Hall N has now increased from 237 to 370.
Creating a functional space where people would feel at home was key: Large windows let more daylight into the foyer and the new lounge areas are perfect for relaxing and recharging your batteries during congress breaks.
